About Me

In 2017 I discovered Marie Kondo and the KonMari method. After reading her books, I decided to give the process a try. I didn’t anticipate what an impact it would have on my life. While I was working through the KonMari process, my husband, Dustin, and I were also working on having a baby ;). I had reached the sentimental category and realized I’d been hanging on to so many things from my childhood: old school work, old books, stuffed animals and other little trinkets from my youth. When I sat with these items determining whether or not they sparked joy, I realized that to move forward in my life I needed to let go of most of these belongings. (Of course I still kept some special things that I loved.) Shortly after I completed the sentimental category—and the tidying process as a whole—I became pregnant. Obviously, this could have been a coincidence, but I honestly felt some of that “life-changing magic” Marie named her book after. I believe people should let go of what is no longer serving them, as a way of inviting new opportunities and experiences into their lives.

I love the idea of surrounding yourself with only the things that bring you joy. This concept of letting things go to create space for what you truly want in life deeply resonates with me. I knew it was an idea worth sharing. I also knew that with my degree in Psychology and my decade of experience in styling, visual merchandising and marketing I would have the tools I need to support people through this process. In March of 2019,  I took a trip with my 5 month old baby and my mom to the KonMari Consultant course in NYC. I completed the training that same year becoming the first certified KonMari consultant in Saskatchewan, and officially started my business late in 2020 while pregnant with my second child. My little babies gave me the boost I needed to not only take the course, but to start my business. I want to make this world a little tidier for them.

Going through this process prepared me for motherhood and supports me in other areas of my life. My house is more in order. I’m better able to manage the excess stuff that comes with having children, and I’ve discovered how to choose joy. I want to share the joy I’ve found in this process with you. That peaceful, functional home in your imagination can become a reality through this method.
